You know, one thing I’ve been meaning to say but forgot to with this article: This kind of corruption is one more reason to get big money out of politics. Epstein’s money provided an incentive to the authorities to look the other way, including legislators.

Mr. Acosta was a political appointee. The people who appointed him were compromised by money. The people who provided that money had an interest in preventing his story from coming to light or they wouldn’t have let him go. It’s not just people like Epstein. It’s all other people who “earned” money from Mr. Epstein that have gone out of their way to defend him.

Now it’s not politically viable to defend him and just look at them run.
