Why Would an Exceptional America Fear Communist China and North Korea?

There’s nothing to fear but fear itself.

For much of my life, I’ve been told that communism is inferior to capitalism. I’ve been told that capitalism has lifted billions of people out of poverty more than communism has. I’ve been told that communism is a terrible form of governing an economy. I’ve been told that nothing good will ever come from communism.

And yet, I hear the American sabers rattling against China and North Korea, two supposedly belligerent countries. I hear the narrative that tells us to fear what would happen if China enters an arms deal with Russia. I hear the same urging to fear any arms deals between Russia and North Korea. I see the headlines telling me to worry that North Korea is developing missiles that could reach American shores.

China is a communist country. North Korea is even more so. Russia still has some communist leanings. They have all adopted some lessons from capitalism, but compared to America, they are full of commies. And if we listen to the mainstream narrative, the message says that we should fear them. We should loathe them. We should hate them.
