The Spot Price of Israel is $75 a Barrel
Look, up in the sky! It’s the price of an empire!
Whenever I travel by plane, I remind myself that jet fuel is made from oil. Whenever I see a bulldozer, I remind myself that they run on diesel fuel. Whenever I see an F-16, I remind myself that air superiority is required to run an empire.
Israel is integral to the American empire.
When I see how the Biden Administration refuses to reign in Israel up to and even after Israel has killed 40,000 people, mostly women and children, I see the power of Israel. Whenever I see the administration grieve over the death of an Israeli, and pay no respects to the dead in Gaza, I see the power of Israel.
Whenever the Biden Administration ships more weapons to Israel, I remind myself of something that President Joe Biden said when he was still a senator:
“Were there not an Israel, the United States would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region.”
