So Tell Me What Happens After Ukraine Wins the War and Russia Collapses
Hint: Ukraine isn’t winning.
Few people have been able to explain what happens after Ukraine wins. I mean, let’s think this through. Ukraine wins the war. Russia collapses into a puddle and it’s every man for himself, right? You know you’d like to see some comeuppance for Russia.
But no one really knows what would happen if Ukraine wins the war with Russia. Some people might say it’s a toss-up now. Some people tell me that we’ll have to wait 2–3 years while The West figures out what it actually can send to Ukraine. And some people are just beginning to notice that China is starting to broker peace agreements.
Russia is overwhelming Ukraine with huge numbers. Ukraine is outgunned ten to one. Russia is firing 10x the number of shells that Ukraine is firing, and the word in the street is that Ukraine is rationing ammo. As The Moon of Alabama points out, 65% of the fatalities in war are caused by artillery fire. He also points out that given the firing rates, there is no way that Ukraine is killing more Russians than Russia is killing Ukraine soldiers. The math simply doesn’t add up.
Compromise is a costly word. No compromise even more so.
