See the Democratic Party as Controlled Opposition

Too little, too late.

The Democrats have fallen and they can’t get up. Already, the news reports that Biden will get off his horse sometime this weekend. They have almost no defense against the attempted assassinations of the adversary, Donald Trump. They can’t attack him. They can’t claim that he’s the worst threat to America, evah.

The lawsuits are starting to crumble. Their political appeal is lost. Trump is going to be a free man by November. All the polls are RED. The odds of Biden winning are increasingly remote. And the Democrats appear uncertain as to who will replace Biden.

Already, people are floating the idea of Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg. That’s better than bringing in Tim Kaine and Hillary Clinton, I guess, but none of them are up to winning the contest. A Harris/Buttigieg ticket is about as exciting as controlled opposition.

As I look back on the history of the Democratic Party, I see a continuous pattern. It’s always too little, too late. It’s never quite enough to do the job. I mean, if you have a trifecta, and the majority in the Senate is filibuster proof, like when Obama was in office, you’d do something like codifying Roe v Wade, right?

There have been many missed opportunities where the Democrats could have done some…
