Our Perception of Time Is Not the Same as Time
Everything we see is evidence of the past.
Whenever I look at the night sky and see a star, I remind myself that I’m looking at old light. When I see Polaris in the night sky, I think in terms of light years. Polaris is 433 light years away. That means it takes 433 years for the light from Polaris to reach us and our eyes.
