Nobody gives a shit about Trump’s Hush Money Trial

Oh, how the news mocks us all.

Every day I scan the headlines. I like to wet my finger, put it in the air and see which way the wind is blowing. Once I get a readout, I know where the people who own the media are trying to turn our heads. I look for the emotional tug words that tell me how to feel. I look for the subtext. I look for the objective.

The entire circus of the many trials of Trump are designed to disable a candidate who is running for president. I really don’t care how bad it is with Trump. Yes, I’ve read some of the reports about how he ran his businesses, but that’s business as usual. He’s just the tip of the iceberg of the way American businesses are run. Once I read this quote by Trump many years ago, then I knew he’s not much different than any other politician (to paraphrase):

“I gave money to both sides. It’s how you get things done.” — Donald J. Trump

Because of the pending Hush Money Trial, it’s hard to find anything useful about Trump. The news media is swamped by that trial. And that tells us something. That overwhelming coverage says that the press doesn’t want us to pay attention to other things. If we have nowhere else to go, we’ll sit and watch the trial.
