Name a War for Something Other Than Profit
Confidence will do you no good.
At any given time, America has multiple fronts of warfare in play. I can’t remember a time when we didn’t have some war going on. There is always a war in the news. There is always some encroachment by American forces for American interests. But I can’t stop wondering what politicians mean by “American Interests”, for I never vote with any intention of any war.
On one front, Israel can no longer keep the missiles out of the north. Settlers have left the north for their own safety.
On the another front, Ukraine told more than 80 countries at a summit organized by Volodymyr Zelensky, that Russia could stop the war in a day if Putin wanted to. Russia wasn’t invited to the summit.
Both of these wars are American proxy wars.
The war in Ukraine is plainly obvious as a proxy war for America. The business elites in America want to project power abroad, not so much for deterrence to keep Americans safe but for “free trade”. We know that safety is not really the purpose of the war in Ukraine because of the body counts. They are incredibly high for just a few years of war.
Most people don’t think of Israel’s war as a proxy war, but it’s not that hard to see. The western countries are hooked on oil to run their economies. They want oil on the cheap. Israel is a permanently stationed base in the middle of rather hostile territory for the west. Western nations have spent more than a century building it up, funding it, arming it, and making it very difficult to dislodge the people who moved to the place we now call, “Israel”.
When Joe Biden was a senator, he made it clear that the purpose of Israel is to protect “American interests”. It’s easy to qualify Israel as a proxy on that statement alone. In 1986, Biden said “If there were not an Israel, we’d have to invent one.”
The Israelis could be happy living in any other place in the world, but not there in what used to be Palestine. The Torah Judaism account on Twitter has made it abundantly clear that religion is not the reason for the existence of Israel. They will happily advise you that the faith of Judaism needs no state to survive.
