Men can clean the house and women can mow the lawn. My wife and I both trade places often. We both like to shovel the snow for the exercise. We both like to mow the lawn for the exercise. I vacuum the house for the exercise, too.
As to the protests, I suspect they do protest too much. But if we can remove ourselves from judgement and confrontation, and place the debate in the context of skills, we might find a more meaningful discussion.
When I see people make a mistake, I assume a lack of skills. Same is true for when people do wrong to one another. It’s still a lack of skills to respond proactively to the demands of the environment. It’s really a question of whether or not we have the skills to get our needs met while doing no harm.
