I’ve been hedging on publications for the purpose of maintaining creative control of the article. The reason I am hesitant is that I don’t want the article to be edited by someone else if I submit it to a publication.

But then I think that I’d get notification of the changes made and that I could withdraw the article if desired. I also keep a backup of my original articles.

One of my best performing articles was submitted to a publication and it still gets a few reads every day. So I’m in agreement with you that publications can be an advantage. Having said that, I will look into it further.

Thanks for sharing.
