Israel Needs a Wall Between Church and State to Survive
Bringing on the rapture is the dumbest thing Israel could ever do.
All over my country, I’ve seen Christians inserting their will where it doesn’t belong. A conservative court has ruled that embryos are kids and at least one in vitro fertilization shop had to pause business. A few more are experimenting with outlawing contraception. But the biggest experiment in state-supported religion is in Israel. Why?
The right wing of the Israeli government’s legislature, the Knesset, wants to expand Israel to the borders described in the Old Testament. These people have great scientists and technologists and they the world isn’t flat. Yet, they are dependent upon a book that was written by men who did not know what the sun did after it went down, as a guide to their future. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
Israel is facing all kinds of backfires for its ongoing genocidal real estate business. Israel’s economy declined by almost 20% in the 4th quarter of last year. Half a million people have left, a significant fraction of which, are not on board with the genocide or they would not have bothered to leave.
I know. So patriotic.
