I’m still waiting for Mr. Slugworth to show up

I think he rides in the back of a large black Cadillac SUV with “in god we trust” on his license plate.

I keep thinking that Trump, sorry…President Trump, will reveal himself to be one of the good guys. I can see Trump return to the Oprah Show. “Hey, look. It was all a ruse. I was just doing my best to destroy the GOP. I think if you look ahead, you’ll see that I didn’t just destroy the GOP,” Trump says as he waves his hand expansively, “I showed how undeserving the Democrats are of any support they received from Americans. I just wanted to make room for a new party, a new day in America.”

Yeah. That didn’t happen. It’s not going to happen. Everything that I see in Trump says something else. I see lots of small businesses shitting bricks because trade is down 20–30%. Small businesses aren’t buying what they need to make what they sell because imports are so expensive. Trump expects us to make what we need and we’re way, way out of practice with no infrastructure or supply chain to make it happen.

I see the damage being done by Trump and I keep hoping that he’ll peek out from behind a curtain and tell us that he’s got a plan. That it’s going to be alright for everyone. But I don’t see that. I read, look around, yup, he’s still Trump. No empathy…
