Cool, another Star Trek fan. I was a big fan of TNG. I just really enjoyed the holodeck and the philosophical implications of even having such a thing around. And yes, that intrigue, the cliffhangers and mystery, that will keep me coming back.

I think I’m really looking for a team effort against a community challenge, rather than a pair of adversaries fighting it out. One thing that I liked about Daredevil is the way Charlie Cox portrays the character. Matt Murdock seemed genuinely interested in the challenge of living life blinded while developing the skills needed to use his gifts. That was to me, the most interesting part of it. He didn’t have it all together like Superman did. He literally fumbled his way through every challenge.

Such a bummer that I have to learn, just a few minutes ago from search results, that the show has been canceled. I’m pretty sure that Netflix knew it was going to be yanked by Disney, anyway. Oh, well.

You’re the second or third person who has expressed praise for Deep Space Nine. One thing that I read long ago was that DS9 was heavy on empathy and fellowship. I guess that quality was something that a inspired a few people to call it Deep Bore 9. Empathy is not easy to sell in a space opera.

Anyway, I better get back to whatever it was I was going to write. :) Thanks for your comment!
